On the basement level, you’ll find a full bath with a walk-in shower, an infrared sauna, zero-gravity chairs, yoga mats, weights, an exercise bench, and a bike. Turn on the TV, cue up your favorite workout or music, make this your personal wellness oasis.

Close the retractable gate to keep your furry friends safe on the back deck. Life jackets in all sizes and a long swimming line are ready for use — you’ll find them in the dog-designated kitchen cabinet or hanging neatly under the deck.

Sliding doors from the bedroom open onto the back deck, where you’ll find two high-top tables and 4 chairs. Since this photo was taken, we’ve added outdoor seating with light blue cushions, a rug, a small table - perfect for morning coffee or evening chats
Nothing captures it better than a drone view — the back deck sits literally above the river, where the sound of the waterfall sets the perfect tone for relaxation. Sit back and breathe in the peace.

Barbecue grill with propane tank and heat shield to protect the siding and fire blanket hanging to the right on the wall in case of an emergency.
Upon entering, you see a cozy living area furnished with comfortable seating. The space is anchored by a 65-inch Roku Smart TV, complete with complimentary YouTube TV,T two single leather reclining chairs, noted for being "super comfy to take a nap".

This living space has several climate control options for your comfort. A ceiling fan w/light for air circulation and lighting. Wall A/C unit can be easily adjusted by pressing the up and down arrows and a mini split in the loft area for additional cooling
The loft area features a low-profile king-size bed with a medium-firm mattress, made especially comfortable by the silky and fluffy bedding. Due to the bed's low height, it may be difficult to get up from it, particularly for people with mobility issues.

Find the dedicated "Doggy Cabinet" for your canine companion, clearly marked with two large paw prints. It contains a variety of supplies including a first-aid kit, equipped for handling minor injuries, emergency provisions, grooming items and much more!

Coffee, chocolate and tea station. Choose between several pod flavors and a variety of teas. You will also find a variety of sweeteners, sugar substitutes, creamers and delicious add-ons.

The kitchen is fully equipped with pre programmed LG Smart appliances to enhance your cooking experience. Cabinets are well-stocked - pots, pans, dishes in a variety of sizes. Crystal glassware for enjoying a good bottle of wine or a cocktail.
A Room with a View: Settle down for a meal and feel the stress melt away. Your dining experience comes with a magnificent backdrop of lush scenery and the calming flow of the river. Listen for playful sounds of your furbabies as they enjoy the yard below.
Laundry made easy with LG Smart Steam Appliances: Their steam function reduces allergens and deep cleans tough stains with minimal detergent. Please help us prevent mold buildup by leaving both the washer door and the detergent compartment ajar.
What's a dining area without a bar? Crystal Glassware for a touch of elegance. Ice Bucket to keep your drinks perfectly chilled. Tools you need to prepare your favorite drinks.
Aww, the best place in the house! Wildlife observation deck aka squirrel watch station aka nappy time spot aka play time....you get it. The fur babies love it there!

Walk in shower with adjustable rain head, complimentary showergel, shampoo and conditioner provided in every bathroom as well as a variety of beauty products.
4 person infrared sauna to relax the muscles after a workout or a long hike and for a great nights sleep. Go by yourself and lay down for a truly relaxing experience. Set the mood with light therapy or simply chill.
Roku TV offers a variety of workout videos or simply bring your laptop and work out with your personal trainer.
Unwind in a zero gravity chair to relax in between sauna sessions. Rest 12-15 minutes in between sauna sessions and/or at the end before going upstairs.
Doggy bridge over water to keep paws out of the wet mud. Yay! One should always be hopeful :). If this did not work, there are huge buckets with dog towels in the basement and living room area.

Doggy poop bag station right at the front door. If you get to the last bag, simply remove the magnetic cover to get to the next roll. Small metal container next to the stairs to dispose of full bags until trash day.

Cancellation Policy: Ninety-seven percent (97.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Forty-seven percent (47.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 7 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 7 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.

We require a signed rental agreement to complete your booking. A security deposit HOLD in the amount of $400 will be placed on your payment information (credit card) on file 2 days before your arrival and said HOLD will be removed 4 days after departure. It is not a charge, just a hold.

After having successfully launched Shepherds Lounge, Shepherds Run and Cozy Escape cabin, followed by Paws and Linger Retreat, this is just another property that caters to our best friends aka doggies aka furbabies - at the same time providing a quality stay for their humans! Shepherds Lounge is currently closed, but we will open a new location in Spring of 2026. I am originally from Austria, a veteran of the service industry and I love my dogs - always take them with me when going places. The amount of items I had to pack just for the dogs was overwhelming. On top of that, sleeping arrangements in many locations are mediocre, leading to sleepless nights or sore backs. After hours on the road, you find empty cabinets, not even a speck of salt, an empty fridge, no shampoo in the bathroom, no laundry detergent, not even a bottle of water. I decided to do better, compiled a list of all the things I would like to find upon arrival and started a business. I am looking forward to hearing about your experience and suggestions!
